??!! Fool's logic??
Appeasement politics?? (I thought he had a 56" chest. Bad decision)
These were the thoughts that rushed through my head when I read about FAROOQ ABDULLAH's nomination on a key Defence Panel.

The government has been maintaining that Article 370 providing special status to Jammu and Kashmir was a reason behind terrorism and separatism in the state.

If they were going to reward him for being a pain in the a$$, then why detain him in the first place? The ostensible reason for detaining him was that he glorified terrorists and promoted public disharmony.

Well nothing more could have been expected of one who brought a terror accused to Parliament and then made her a member of parliament’s consultative committee on defence. The country, decent law abiding citizens all be damned.

Back during the election fever, he had proclaimed that he was very disappointed with Ms Thakur.

But in politics nobody is a foe. Today's foe might become a friend tomorrow. Nothing has  changed now to warrant these perks. Farooq Abdullah glorifies terrorists and belittles our forces, Pragya Thakur is still Pragya Thakur, Pakistan is still an opportunistic rogue, China is still deceitful. Talk about the leopard changing its spots !! However, the BJP like the proverbial ostrich, buries its head in the sand.

I think I can safely say that I am not prejudiced but from the looks of it, Rajnath Singh either likes fireworks or is following the primary school teacher's dictum of making the naughtiest boy the class monitor. The Bhakts extol Modi as a modern day Chanakya but the world seems rosy when you put on rose tinted glasses !!!
Anyway, what's done is done. Now let us get ready to face the consequences.
I just remembered a song from "Pardesi Babu (of 1998) -
Jahaan Jung Pe Jaaye Sipaahi
Toh Khud Sajani Tilak Lagaaye
Muh Se Toh Kuchh Na Bole
Chupake Chupake Nir Bahaaye
It Happens Only In India
