This is the condition of the different interested parties to the conflict in Ukraine
- USA: America has a history of finding itself right in the middle of a crisis. Whether it is guilty of muddying the waters or if it was merely intervening in the midst of a crisis is a matter of debate. However, it cannot be denied that it is the biggest arms supplier on the planet.

In this capacity, the position that America does not stand to benefit in situations of conflict, is untenable. This is especially so as Arms sales is integral to its Foreign policy and the industry contributes significantly to the economy. America has a significant interest in raking up disputes
- NATO: This is a Cold war era grouping. In the post Cold war era it stands to lose relevance fast
- EU: The Germans are not that far behind.
In the absence of nuclear power, Germany became more dependent on Russian natural gas for heating and electricity, thanks to Angela Merkel and the two are openly batting for Russia. Infact, Europe depends on Russia for about 35 percent of its natural gas requirements. If Russia decides to weaponize its gas supply, the entire EU will be thrown into a energy crisis.
