Did Jesus create this creation? He is worshipped as a god, but on what basis?
I will answer the second part of your question first “… But On What Basis ? “
Every human being will accept that God is a divine entity that created and typically supervises all existence. It is necessary to understand that it is simply this emotion that is expressed in the Bible too.
The Almighty Omnipotent being that fomed us and brought all the visible and invisible things of this cosmos into existence is infinitely more powerful than we, human beings are. He is certainly much bigger than our finite minds can comprehend. Put It In Another Way God Is Incomprehensible.
Now moving on to the first part of your query. Yes, according to Christian belief, Jesus played a role in creation, as all things were created through Him. This includes humanity, as He is considered the agent of creation alongside God the Father.
The Son is the image of the invisible God — “Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:” [Colossians 1:15; KJV]
Christ is the exact representation of God the Father, having the same nature (ref Hebrews 1:3). Now, this fact is reiterated in the OT too. God our Father says to the Israelites 👇
I) Angel , Greek "ángelos" just means messenger — divine or earthly. That being said, they were certainly not in the category of God. However, this angel could pardon sins (part highlighted in red) — something that only God could do.
II) What is interesting is the reason that God attributes this to. “… for my name is in him”. Being an Indian, you will understand quite easily that names have meanings and this was true of the Middle East too. God was essentially saying that He and the Angel were one and the same — or rather “of the same essence”. There are 3 in the Godhead and all three are coequal and coeternal.
The creation of the world by God, is outlined in Genesis. However, here we have proved that the “Angel” was God Himself. So yes, the preincarnate Christ did create everything
This is what John says in the New Testament too
Note that Jesus is also called “the Word of God”
