Ukraine crisis: Western Malfeasance

 The present crisis is of the West's making specifically speaking, Obama, Hilary and Biden.

A military confrontation with Moscow would spell doom for the Earth itself hence they decided to undermine it from within. The erstwhile Soviet Union had military facilities strewn all over the vast country. All of the international obligations of the USSR were taken over by Russia and in return all of its assets were to be handed over to Russia. This understanding was reached at the UN in the presence of ALL former Soviet republics. None protested especially, as the value of its assets were deemed lower than its liabilities. Thus, Russia is widely acknowledged (even by the West) to be its legal successor. 

The naval base at Sevastopol, on Crimea’s southwestern tip, is Russia’s only warm water naval base and its primary means of extending force through the Mediterranean. However, trying to maintain logistics to Sevastopol would be a nightmare if Ukraine goes over to the other camp. Put simply, without a naval base in Crimea, Russia is finished as a global military power.

A regime change was effected by the US and another one, of their choosing was installed so that Russia would be devoid of its base in Crimea as well as much of its weapons manufacturing facilities in Eastern Ukraine.

Betrayal By NATO: The second one was the adoption of the "Open Door policy" of NATO — 

that was only verbally agreed upon in the UN. This in effect meant NATO would continue to expand right upto the physical border with Russia. By no stretch of imagination can the NATO be absolved of all blame.

Bloodlust of the US: 

The term itself is archaic. It should have been dissolved being a relic of the Cold War. Additionally, it was formed to keep the USSR at bay, there is No USSR at present. Then what relevance does NATO hold to the modern world? However, Western leaders  (read the US)

are adamant that this policy will not be stopped. In effect Russia would be boxed in, surrounded from all sides by the Western alliance. Russia would thus be relegated to the realms of obscurity leaving the US to have a free run !! This would free up USA leaving only the 'frenemy' — China — to coexist with.

The need: The US economy is built around war and weapons sales. Clinton realized the need of an enemy to keep the military industrial complex ticking over and by extension, the US economy. 

Why Russia: The West already had an inbuilt aversion towards Russia. Thus, Russia simply became a convenient scape goat. Furthermore, the US cannot take on Communist China because it is heavily invested in the US.  The US is heavily dependent on China for cheap finished goods. Additionally, Biden and son are heavily and profitably invested in China. 

This can explain to a great extent the reason for his going soft on China. Biden is doing his utmost to turn the heat away from China and onto the Ukrainian crisis.

  Ukraine is only a pawn in the US powerplay.
