The role of the earthly Father in some way mirrors that of our Heavenly Father. The earthly Father's primary duty and God given responsibility is to intercede for his family to our Heavenly Father and Almighty creator.

As long as, this is not recognised and duly implemented, the problem of a country quickly spiralling down into oblivion, the moral fabric of its society torn to shreds, cannot be reversed.

Insofar as the head of the husband is the Lord Jesus Christ (ref 1 Corinthians 11:3), the earthly father is required to follow the steps of the Lord. There are 3 ministries of Jesus which a Father should reproduce in his home i) Priest ii) Prophet and iii) King.

As a priest the earthly father is required to intercede for his family [like Job]. However, the other two responsibilities are contingent on the success of this one.

The Lord through the prophet Hosea said:

Here two things are to be noted

      1. Knowledge is defined as the Fear of the Lord (Proverbs 1:7)
      2. The Bible says that there is No juvenile delinquency. The problem is Delinquent Adults

As for the Fatherless and Widows, the psalmist in Psalm 68:5 says that the Lord will be their refuge.

The last book of the Old Testament which is a call to turn back to God, ends with a curse.

“And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse.” [Malachi 4:6; KJV]

In today's age, scripture is being systematically undermined. GNOSIS has come back with a vengeance. However, God's word remains unchanged. There is Authority, Discipline and Obedience as is clear from the below 👇

  • “Therefore doth my Father love me, because I lay down my life, that I might take it again. No man taketh it from me, but I lay it down of myself. I have power to lay it down, and I have power to take it again. This commandment have I received of my Father.” [John 10:17,18; KJV].

[God the Father commands His Son and Jesus carries it out.]

  • “For I have not spoken of myself; but the Father which sent me, he gave me a commandment, what I should say, and what I should speak. And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak.” [John 12: 49,50; KJV].

[Jesus in all His teaching was obeying God the Father ]

This started in heaven and God intends that it should be reproduced in Every Family.

There are 3 ministries of Jesus which a Father should reproduce in his home i) Priest ii) Prophet iii) King.

      1. As a priest the earthly father makes intercession for his family [like Job].
      2. As prophet, the Father brings the word of God to his family and
      3. As the King he rules his family according to the Word of God.

God chose Abraham for this very reason
