The Bible says there is a time for everything including waging war (ref Ecclesiastes 3:8) but christian USA seems to have chosen to ignore it. The book alludes to basic beliefs in the traits that God displays and discusses the concept of mercy as part of God's character, juxtaposing it with His judgement.

USA not only sees itself as the global moral police but also seems to have taken on the mantle of Judge, Jury and Executioner,

Vanity in Ecclesiastes means “Excessive pride in oneself or one's accomplishments” and yet, that is something the USA is guilty of.

The USA is a country very strongly disposed to war. The country has existed for more than twenty four (24) decades of which Only two (2) were sort of unique —

Wars leave deep and lasting scars on economies and the US economy is no exception. The lasting economic scars of war

  1. Government revenues collapse as revenue from non tax sources shrivel. All this while, spending remains stable, forcing reliance on inflationary finance and short-term debt. The resultant Stock Market Volatility may prompt investors to shift to safer havens like gold and Treasury bonds.
  2. It might also have an adverse effect on Inflation and Interest rates. Inflation has been around for a long time. Even the Bible mentions it. For example, elwhen the Aramians attacked Israel during the days of Israel’s King Jehoram, the Israelites experienced it, so much that a donkey’s head sold for eighty pieces of silver, and a cup of dove’s dung sold for five pieces of silver” (ref 2 Kings 6:25). Yet, an end to the war resulted in the conditions being reversed (ref 2 Kings 7:1).
  3. “For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.” [James 1:20; KJV] — The perpetual belligerence of the USA, requires an extensive presence in many countries around the globe and by extension a lot of money. In the past, the US$ typically strengthened in the event of a war, as it was viewed as a “safe-haven currency”. However, of late this trust has been eroding The Dollar's Decline: Eroding Trust and the Future of Global Finance – Archyde

I) In every country the US has found itself in, it was the foreign power and militarily superior. This led to 2 problems

      1. The hunger to win was greater for the home forces while the US forces were complacent.
      2. The US war machine often is fighting for something that their higher ups believe in. On the other hand the other party is fighting for their motherland. That leads to a big difference — motivation.

II) The US is a regular military force. A guerilla style warfare suits it ill, be it in Vietnam or in Afghanistan. The US had to win but the other party just had to survive — that's a big difference. This explains the US reluctance for “boots on the ground” even in “blond haired and blue eyed” Ukraine.

III) The reasons for a war are commercial and political only. In this case, The ordinary soldier quickly becomes disillusioned and demoralised, when the reasons for a war are flimsy. This becomes particularly so, when it is a long drawn out, war of attrition e.g. The US took about 2 decades to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.

Now, the Trump regime is looking to have a base in Bagram, Afghanistan. How can this be, when the US made mortal enemies of the Taliban for 2 decades ?

IV) The US Foreign Policy is based firmly on their interests and do not factor in “ground realities”. My way or the Highway works Only when you are the unchallenged top dog. The USA does not enjoy that clout anymore. Here’s Why the U.S. Is No Longer the World’s Only Superpower

V) Even the objectives change according to the constraints of domestic and international politics.

In all its wars, the US struggled to develop and implement a coherent strategy.

For example in Afghanistan, who was it being fought for. The US went in to unseat the Taliban. They did it and even killed Osama bin Laden. Then why did they overstay? Was it for :

    1. The Defence Corporates
    2. The ordinary American
    3. The ordinary Afghan
    4. The people who walk the corridors of power

VI) The US preoccupation with furthering it's interests at the expense of others, failure to understand and appreciate other cultures, etc have alienated many countries around the globe. The ME is America's favourite playground and so it is most hated there. The Middle East & US Foreign policy

VII) The US military is good at building big, expensive toys of war. This is good only at projecting power, not efficient at winning a war. Considering the high cost of interception by an Iron Dome missile (between $100,000 and $150,000), it makes little sense to use it against a drone.

However, jugaad is not limited to these only. The Indian military too, uses its ability to improvise cost-effective, adaptable fixes to upgrade and sustain a wide array of equipment. From Mockery to Mastery: India’s “Jugaad” Anti-Drone Contraption Proves Its Worth in 2025 Clashes - Indian Defence Research Wing

Perhaps, the undisputed king of jugaad is ISRO Jugaad engineering: How India created the world's cheapest Mars mission

Its advantages are many —

      1. It allows us to creatively address critical issues instead of traversing the trodden path
      2. Since it is frugal innovation. The end result is a cost effective product
      3. Since it is cheaper, it tolerates more number of failures eg NASA with its huge project cost to go to Mars can possibly afford 1 or 2 failures but the Indian mission can afford more as it is cheaper.
